Who We Are | Statement of Faith
Gospel Chapel, a conservative ministry pastored by Ralph Bouma and is located in Conrad, Montana. We teach and preach the glory of God through the humility of man, which is evident by practical Godliness.
We believe and teach that "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness," 2TI 3:16. Therefore the Word of God is taught at Gospel Chapel as not only our highest, but also our only authority.
We believe the Scriptures clearly teach:
That reconciliation between God and man constitutes salvation. This reconciliation is clearly twofold. From God's side He "…was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them." However, reconciliation is not complete until man's rebellion is broken, and he is reconciled from his side. "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God," 2CO 5:19-20.
The absolute sovereignty of the Triune God.
The essential deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His vicarious death, and His physical resurrection.
The present session of Jesus Christ in heaven and His future return to judge the world and establish His everlasting kingdom.
The only valid answer to the manifold evil in present-day human society is to be found in the gospel of Christ, which is "the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth," ROM 1:16.
That salvation is by the grace of God alone, on the basis of the atoning Sacrifice of Christ, and wholly apart from any human merit.
That God commands all people to repent and to believe the gospel.
That the church is composed solely of repentant and believing sinners who confess and serve Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and submit to his rule and authority as set forth in the Scriptures.
That Christians have the solemn obligation to conduct themselves at all times in a manner worthy of the gospel they profess to believe.
