ETERNAL SECURITY
We cannot preach pardon through the blood of the cross to a person who continues to live in and cherish sin. That preaching is the MYSTERY BABYLON; it is the confusion found in REV 17:5 where we read, "And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." That is the doctrine of the damned; they preach only a half truth. A half truth is a lie.One may well ask, how is it possible for a professing church to condone such iniquity within the church today, and silence those who speak against it? How is it possible? The answer becomes clearer when we understand 2THESS 2:10-12, "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. [They do not love the truth; they do not love the gospel of repentance.] And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." What is the truth? It is the Word of God! It is the gospel of repentance.
Except that God sends them a strong delusion, it would be impossible for rational people to think they could cherish sin, live in it, and still be saved by the blood of Christ. Do not be quick to agree with those who ask if you believe in eternal security. Todays modern philosophy is that if you just accept Jesus, you are eternally secure, even though you continue in sin. This is the doctrine of Balaam. See what he said in NUM 23:10b, "Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!"
Why was it that Balaam did not die the death of the righteous? It was because he did not live the life of the righteous! REV 2:14 says, "But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication." If we think we are eternally secure, but go right back to our old ways of wallowing in sin, we believe the doctrine of Balaam; and our last end shall be like his. "Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core," JUD 1:11.
Gods Word teaches eternal security. However, you must ask, "Where does it begin?" It began before the foundation of the world as we see in EPH 1:4, "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love." That is where eternal security begins. To what did He choose us? It is to holiness. EPH 1:5-6 says, "Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved." We are accepted, predestined to holiness. Everyone wants to be predestined to heaven, but they dont want to be predestined to holiness.
Do I believe in eternal security? Oh, yes! I believe the Lord loved me before He even created the world. I believe the Lord will uphold me and carry me. I believe where he began a good work, He will carry it on until the day of Jesus Christ, and He will work sanctification in my heart. I believe He will work in me to will and do of His good pleasure, Cf. PHI 2:13. There is the evidence of my predestination. Those who want to claim eternal security as a shield so they can wallow in sin are those who "...for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie [They will actually believe that they are be saved!]: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
All of this confusion begins with a divided heart. The doctrines of Balaam are based on a divided heart. They want the rich blessings, but they love unrighteousness. They want the best of both worlds, and to claim it, they speak like Satan with a forked tongue.
ROM 1:21-24 says, "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened...Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves." The Lord sent this judgement of confusion because they loved not the truth. Now you can see the confusion. Can you picture anything more confusing than two people of the same gender engaging in sex? Any person with a sound mind would label it insanity. It is the confusion God sends as a reward because they did not glorify Him as God even though they knew God. They did not love the truth.
Oh, how many people are double minded! They try to serve two masters. They serve the god of self for all fleshly pleasure, and the God of heaven to escape the consequences of their sin. To serve both is the doctrine of Balaam. They want to come under the blood of Christ for eternal security, but they still love the wages of unrighteousness. That is the state of confusion of our day. Amen.
I am a stranger here, within a foreign land;
My home is far away upon a golden strand;
Ambassador to be of realms beyond the sea,
Im here on business for my King.Chorus
This is the message that I bring,
A message angels fain would sing:
"Oh, be ye reconciled,"
Thus saith my Lord and King,
"Oh, be ye reconciled to God."This is the Kings command; that all men, everywhere
Repent and turn away from sins seductive snare;
That all who will obey, with Him shall reign for aye,
And thats my business for my King.My home is brighter far than Sharons rosy plain,
Eternal life and joy throout its vast domain;
My Sovreign bids me tell how mortals there may dwell,
And thats my business for my King.
